AIVA – 9th Latin-American Encuentro
9th Latin American Encuentro – held in April in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Last April, the 9th Aiva’s Latin American Encuentro took place at the Conrad Hotel of Punta del Este, Uruguay.
The Aiva Encuentro is not only an instance among colleagues of different nationalities, but a moment to consolidate bonds among strategic partners in this business as well.
This year, the Encuentro’s main objective was to launch Aiva’s new business model in the industry of Financial Advice, where the service platforms of AIVA TPA Services are the key to long-term success. It was an enriching four day agenda with presentations given by internationally well-known lecturers.
In this opportunity, more than 400 people from America, the Caribbean and Europe attended the event, and we are proud to say that it was a complete success.
Not only a significant part of our sales force and the authorities of the companies came from abroad to the event, but also many professionals on the Financial Advice Industry were also part of the attendees. One of them was
Federico Tessore, Director of Inversor Global magazine, and shared his views on the event and some of the significant issues that were raised during the 9th Latin American Encuentro.
These are some of the extracts of his comments on this regard:
“The presentations given at the AIVA conference on wealth management contained several issues that attracted my attention. The fact I found most surprising was that
Latin America
is the second fastest growing region in the world in terms of wealth
.
The inequalities in our region continue to be huge, but this dramatic situation does not hide the other side of the coin. Survey results presented during the AIVA Encuentro disclosed that
the number of wealthy people is increasing at a significant pace
and this in turn is expanding the wealth management industry that is managing that money.”
He also said that:
“One of the most enriching aspects of the conference was the interaction with participants from different countries. While in the past the priority may have been to generate wealth, the focus is now altered toward suitability and ensuring that money is managed appropriately. The wealth management industry in Latin America is entering a period of maturity, and we are seeing a transition toward a model that has existed for many years in developed countries. Within this context,
investors’ needs are changing.
Latin American countries are currently lacking a financial culture
and companies are failing to train employees in such matters. As people become increasingly wealthy and the wealth management market expands, there is a growing lack of financial awareness among consumers.
In the United States
life expectancy grew from 62 years in 1930 to 78 years in 2003 – and as a direct result of this, retirement became a vital part of financial planning
– a trend we are set to follow in Latin America.”
Mini Encuentros in specific markets
Now that the 9th Encuentro is over, our sales executives’ teams have a tight agenda visiting the different countries with the objective of bringing this event closer to each specific market. This will enable us to keep enhancing the relationships with our sales force and to provide them with the best training courses together with the latest industry trends.
Those who weren’t able to attend the Encuentro will now have the possibility, through these visits, to understand AIVA’s new model, which was presented during the Encuentro, as well as all the relevant issues raised during this 4 days.
The agenda of this Mini Encuentro’s include markets such as Chile, Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Argentina, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama, reaching over 300 tied advisers - apart from the 400 attendees in Montevideo/Uruguay.
Our aim is to keep providing our sales force, with the best and more innovative sales tools.
